The Nike Dunk first began its journey back in 1985 when it debuted in the “Be True to Your School” pack, which celebrated the top Nike-sponsored universities at the time. 35 years later, Nike returns to celebrate the anniversary of the Dunk silhouette by reviving that same theme with the release of the Dunk Low SP “Champ Colors”, honouring university basketball’s most recent men’s champions, the University of Virginia Cavaliers’. The silhouette blends the Cavaliers’ team colours across its supple leather upper, with a base of ‘university orange’ and overlays of ‘’marine blue’. Iconic Nike branding is found embroidered at the heel, as well as at the woven label stitched to the sneakers mesh tongue. The silhouette is then finished with navy laces, its classic white midsole, and a dark navy outsole.
