Originally released as a Japan exclusive in 2001 with a limited run of 2,001 pairs, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG CO.JP “Tokyo” returns with a global release this Friday, August 6th. Utilizing the same shades of neutral grey and metallic silver as the 2001 release, the silhouette features a premium suede base in matte grey, while smooth and tumbled leather in silver makes its way onto the Swoosh, toe-box, heel counter, and ankle flap. Branding can be found at the collar with a jewelled ‘Wings’ logo, at the tongue with an embroidered ‘Nike Air’ logo, as well as CO.JP branding making its way onto the insole and on a woven tag inside the tongue. The silhouette is then finished with fat laces — just like the ’01 release — and the classic white midsole paired with a grey rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG CO.JP “Tokyo” releases through an Instagram-based raffle that starts today, August 6th, that ends Friday August 7th, at 1:00 PM MST. Check out Instagram (@fooshyeg) for more details.
