This Holiday season, Jordan Brand revives one of their most iconic colourways with a storied release inspired by the thrill of a rare vintage score. Dubbed the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Lost & Found”, this weekend’s drop takes the classic 1985 “Chicago” colourway and applies a vintage effect across the silhouette, resembling that OG ‘80s pair one may find tucked away in the basement of a mom and pop shop.
Starting with the upper, this iteration of the AJ1 High features a cracked leather base in white, with soft ‘varsity red’ leather placed at the toe, ankle, eyestays, & collar overlays. Additional cracked leather detailing is found in black at the collar, while the nylon tongue takes on an aged, off-white appearance with a woven “Nike Air” label at its apex. The vintage aesthetic continues onto the midsole & outsole, which takes on an oxidized shade of ‘sail’ and a dusty ‘varsity red’ finish respectively. Completing this release, no small detail is overlooked, from the weathered exterior of the shoe box, to the graphic tissue paper marked with old newspaper clippers and a “hand-written” receipt found within.
