In celebration of this year's Air Max Day, Nike welcomes the return of the legendary Air Max 90 NRG “Bacon” with its first-ever reissue dropping this Friday. Originally released back in 2004 through a collaboration with Dave Ortiz’s NYC-based boutique ‘Dave’s Quality Meat’, the AM90 “Bacon” draws its namesake from the shades of colour it shares with a strip of bacon, and is widely regarded as one of the most iconic Air Max colourways. The bacon-themed colour palette makes its way onto the silhouettes upper, with a mix of brown, red, pink, and off-white dressing the soft suede and tumbled leather panels. Mesh breaks up the leather upper at the tongue, which comes in a soft pink, while branding comes in the form of a woven ‘Nike’ tag stitched at the tongue, alongside the classic ‘Nike Air’ branding at the rear. The silhouette is then finished with a leather sockliner, off-white and brown midsole & outsole pairing, as well as three sets of laces in straw brown, pink, and red.
