Continuing to reinvent the ever-popular AJ1, Jordan Brand applies an electric colour update to this week’s release of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Volt”. A shade first made famous by classic Nike sneakers of the ‘90s, cracked leather panels of ‘volt’ are applied to this release’s mudguard, eyestays, and heel, while a similarly cracked white leather base balances the signature green-yellow hue with classic Chicago-style colourblocking. Additional pre-worn details are found at the collar, which takes on a cracked black leather finish, as well at the laces, which come in a faded black, while a smooth leather Swoosh and debossed “Wings” logo are found at the midfoot and ankle respectively. This release is then finished with an aged midsole in ‘sail’, a woven Nike label in ‘volt’ at the nylon tongue, as well as an extra set of flat laces in white.
