Saucony returns this month with a tribute to Las Vegas for their latest collaboration with LV-based boutique FEATURE, this time on the Shadow 6000. Dubbed “Chocolate Chip”, the silhouette pays homage to vintage $5,000 poker chips and features an unconventional mix of materials at the upper, from a nubuck base to tumbled & patent leather overlays, all dressed in shades of brown, pink, and white. Shaggy suede makes its way onto the heel and tongue, while velvet accents and faux pony hair are found at the midfoot window. Branded hits come in the form of embroidered logos at the toebox and heel, while a $5,000 chip is found debossed at the tongue’s leather patch. The $5,000 poker chip theme continues onto the insole, which features an all-over graphic collage of chips. This release is then finished with a ‘Lucky You!’ slogan printed at the medial midfoot, three sets of laces in metallic thread, pink, and green, as well as a collaborative shoe box mixing gold foil detailing & green hues, a reference to the classic green felt of a poker table.
