Taking inspiration, as well as its namesake, from the rare copper sulphide mineral, adidas and Kanye West start the week off with today’s Yeezy Boost 380 “Covellite” release. Deep indigo blue’s common to covellite are found across the Primeknit upper, with darker navy blue hits appearing around the collar, and lighter shades of lavender closer to the sole unit. A perforated midfoot panel appears at the silhouettes lateral side, while jet black accents make their way onto the sock liner and infinity (loop) laces. The release is then finished with a translucent, copper-toned midsole similar to the golden hues found in covellite formations, encapsulated BOOST-cushioning, and a gum-brown outsole.
