Ahead of LeBron’s 20th season in the NBA, Nike pulls one of his player-exclusives (PE) straight from the vault for this week’s release of the Nike LeBron 2 “Maccabi”. First seen during a 2006 pre-season exhibition game against the Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv Basketball Club, this iteration of the LeBron 2 features a ‘metallic gold’ ballistic mesh upper with crisp leather overlays at the toe cap, midfoot, & rear foxing. White leather continues onto the ankle’s velcro strap, which features Nike lettering, a Swoosh, as well as LeBron’s signature badge branding. Intricate laser-etched graphics are then found hidden below the ankle strap, while additional Lebron branding is found embossed at the ankle and spelled out down the spine. The release is finished with a pattern molded outsole tread and ‘metallic gold’ painted Zoom Air bags at the midsole.
