Kicking off the new year with a fresh face at the shop, we’re stoked to welcome hiking outfitter Merrell to the shop! Founded in Rockford, Michigan in 1981 as a maker of high-performance hiking boots, Merrell enters into 2023 with their first collaboration of the year, joining forces with Canadian skate heavyweight Dime.
This collection see’s Dime put their spin on one of Merrell’s most iconic & versatile outdoor silhouettes, the Moab 2 Waterproof, dressing it in both ‘blue ribbon’ and ‘birch’ colourways. Each sneaker features a breathable mesh upper with premium, pigskin suede overlays, all of which is layered above a waterproof membrane that helps to seal water out while allowing moisture to escape. Dime’s signature branding is placed at the toe’s protective cap, as well as debossed at the tongue and printed at the heel’s yellow pull tabs, while a metal “Waterproof” label is placed at the front of the collar. The silhouette is then finished with a lightweight EVA foam midsole, Merrell’s Air Cushion in the heel, and a Vibram TC5+ rubber outsole to keep you stuck to the trails.
The Dime x Marrell 1TRL Moab WP 2 Collection releases today in-store at 12 PM and the remaining pairs will be available online at 5 PM!
